My Baby's first day of Kindergarten

Today is a BIG day! I have decided to start babysitting to supplement our income so I have one child before and after school today. 6:20 AM - earlier than I usually wake but I'll adjust! He seems like a great kid. AND my first child, my son, is going to kindergarten this afternoon. That's a big deal! Someone else will have influence over him - not just me. I'm proud of him though and excited about all that he will learn - he's smart and inquisitive. I hope I did a good job in these vital first five years! His going to school makes me value my time with my 2 1/2 year old daughter even more.

Oh, and it's my birthday. That's getting lost in the fray. Seems to happen as a parent and as you get older. I don't recommend having kids around the time that school starts if you can avoid it - that's mostly what anyone else is thinking of right now.

Working slowly but surely on a rag quilt for my daughter now. I want to spend endless hours on it but I just don't have that kinda time!

The satellite is down so no television yet today. Strange. My daughter is not happy about that. She got into my dark chocolate in the fridge. Grrrr. Oh for a fridge lock!!!

Have to run to Extra Foods while my son is in school cuz they have cheap fryer chickens - $1.88/lb. Great deal! Gonna stock up!

Hope you enjoy my blog and my new list of favorite links!
(Hope I caught all my typos - there were many cuz I'm tired!)

So Begins The Blog....

I'm not sure I ever thought I would be blogging! I have lots to say but I`m not sure I want the world reading it. However, here I go! I have been a stay-at-home Mom for 5 years now and I`m just now finding the desire to do something more - something of my own - that can also bring in money. If you haven`t discovered this, a blog can be a source of income! I`ll post more on this later. For now, the kids are needing me and a friend is bringing her two munchkins to visit. I look forward to sharing our lives with you! Enjoy!
